Hi, I’m Arthur the Komondor—yes, the “living mop” you may have seen online, but beneath the cords I’m a loyal Hungarian-American livestock guardian with a teddy-bear heart. I was born on January 1st, 2021 (Capricorn) and I weigh 176 pounds or just short of 80 kilograms. My veterinarian says my hair weighs around 22 pounds or 10 kilograms and is comprised of over 2000 individuals cords or “dreadlocks”. My dad, Samson (Somogyi Betyar Duda), is from Hungary and weighs 155 pounds, while my mom, Winnie, Is from South Carolina and weighs 130 pounds. I’m calm and watchful at home, goofy with friends, and gentle with kids, but I still take my guardian job seriously. On my channels, I share behind-the-scenes pet tips, socialization and training insights, and how a big, thoughtful dog like me thrives in modern life—balancing enrichment, exercise, and plenty of naps. I champion adoption, ethical breeding, and positive reinforcement, partner only with dog‑first brands, and use my platform to support shelters and working-dog education.
